DDI EDUCATION OVERVIEW

The DDI educational hierarchy is designed for both individuals and organizations based on what an individual needs to accomplish or where an organization is on its Demand Driven journey.

What DDI education is appropriate for me?

There are a number of DDI educational offerings depending on what you do for your organization and your individual career goals.  Most of our educational products also serve as the official preparatory education for our professional endorsement certificates as well as offer life time content access to stay up to date.  Learn more about those certificates.  Match your role with the right education in both introductory and advanced categories. Go to our individual education section.

How should an organization use DDI education to start and progress a Demand Driven transformation?

A Demand Driven transformation it typically characterized by five stages or levels of maturity.  Each level gained brings with it a level of organizational performance increase. The DDI education suite is designed to provide the thoughtware for appropriate personnel involved in each stage of maturity to foster that progression. You can learn more about these levels at the DDAE Model home page. Go to the organizational education section.

DDI EDUCATION ROADMAP FOR THE ORGANIZATION

This section will help you line up the DDI educational products to the stages of maturation of a Demand Driven implementation. Attendance in teams or bringing education in-house is strongly encouraged. For any questions about where to start, please feel to CONTACT US.

STAGE 1: EXPLORING A BETTER WAY TO MANAGE OPERATIONS AND SUPPLY CHAINS

Level 1 is used by an organization that is struggling to adapt its legacy planning systems and operational metrics to encourage, sustain or improve flow performance in today's more volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous (VUCA) environment.

STAGE 2: BEGINNING THE EMPHASIS ON FLOW-BASED OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY

Most Demand Driven transformations start with DDMRP or DDDRP. Level 2 education is used by an organization that is seeking a technical deep dive on or in the beginning stages of a DDMRP/DDDRP implementation.

For Planners, Buyers, Schedulers, Planning and Purchasing Managers.

STAGE 3: SYNCHRONIZE, LEVERAGE, AND ADAPT OPERATIONAL CAPABILITY FOR BETTER FLOW PERFORMANCE

Level 3 education expands the Demand Driven implementation deeper into operations to include scheduling and capacity management (when necessary). Level 3 education also emphasizes a tactical improvement cycle called Demand Driven S&OP (DDS&OP) that adapts the implementation based on past performance and strategic input from leadership.

For executives and senior teams.

STAGE 5: SENSE, ADAPT AND INNOVATE ACROSS THE SUPPLY CHAIN (SUPPLIERS AND CUSTOMERS)

Level 5 education is focused keeping the organization at a high performing level by enabling strategic and game changing innovations through a proven and effective strategic problem solving process.
